Netflix asked us to create a custom Netflix N logo that would play at the opening of the second season of Squid Game. Our designers focused on the forms of the iconic Escher-inspired stairs that the guards march along, with the thought that the stairs could elegantly assume the form of the Netflix logo.
Starting by constructing our version of the scene in CG, our designers animated the camera and finessed the choreography of the staircases. Working with a CG character model provided by the series VFX team, we rigged and animated the guards robotically marching, as the staircases animate into the shape of the N.
