DoorDash’s Your Door To More campaign is a vibrant, high-energy journey through everyday cravings—and a masterclass in music-driven storytelling. The ad is so tightly choreographed and rhythmically precise that it couldn’t have worked with any song other than “The Hamburger Song” by Bobby Moore & The Rhythm Aces.
From the start, the creative team had their hearts set on this whimsical, off-kilter track, and securing the music wasn’t just important—it was mission-critical. As music supervisors, we faced the kind of high-stress scenario only our profession understands: “What if we can’t get it?”
We leaned heavily on our relationships with both the record label and music publisher. Through persistent negotiation and deep industry trust, we got the deal done. We secured usage rights and worked closely with sound editors to match the visuals with precision.
The result? A surreal, joyful, genre-defying spot where every movement, beat, and bite is in perfect sync with “The Hamburger Song.” Music wasn’t an afterthought—it was the blueprint. Its successful licensing and implementation transformed this ad into a delightfully unorthodox celebration of discovery and personality.
As a Clio Award Winner, this reflects not just the success of the ad but also the skill, persistence, and creativity that helped bring it to life—making this entry not just memorable, but award-worthy in its own right.
