To celebrate its latest LinkBuds launch with Olivia Rodrigo, Sony took over NYC’s abandoned Bowery Subway Station, transforming it into the immersive “O Line,” complete with Olivia-inspired experiences and a limited-edition metro card release. Inspired by NYC’s transit system and Olivia’s iconic aesthetic, the activation featured full-scale vinyl wraps, MTA-style signage, and a train line map connecting her biggest hits.
Three themed subway cars brought the experience to life: the Butterfly Content Car featured 3D butterflies and fisheye mirrors for interactive photo ops; the Amazon Music Listening Car allowed guests to demo LinkBuds with preloaded Olivia tracks on Sony Walkman devices while subway artists sketched their reactions; and the Lounge Car offered tarot readings inspired by Olivia’s “Obsessed” sashes, alongside purple mood lighting.
Designed for listening and social sharing, the activation seamlessly blended music, culture, and technology, placing Sony LinkBuds at the center of Olivia Rodrigo’s world in a uniquely NYC setting (also a perfect use case for the earbuds).
