Marking a milestone in her career, the "One of a Kind" campaign by Nike featuring WNBA star A’ja Wilson spotlighted the first shoe designed by the superstar, the Nike A’One. BUTTER knew the impact this had for women in sports and brought music to match A’ja’s infectious rhythm. We “jumped” in post-shoot—no click track, no problem! The vocals came in raw, so we crafted a custom tempo map and shaped the edit to lock in tight. The brief? Channel schoolyard swagger with punch, pride, and a fierce nod to Black girlhood. Our composers flipped “Miss Mary Mack” into a bold, beat-driven anthem—equal parts playground chant and cultural celebration, pulsing with intergenerational power. The spot features a young girl teaching A’ja to jump rope. The impact? Immediate. In five minutes flat, the debut A’One sneaker in “Pink A’ura” sold out online. In response, Nike announced restocks via select locations and retail partners. Buzz hit 2.27B media impressions in a week, and the ad earned 161K views on YouTube.
