To promote Venom: The Last Dance, we created a series of short-form vertical videos that blurred the line between real internet chaos and blockbuster mischief. Each piece begins with actual viral footage (a horse kicking a chicken, a runaway gurney, a man bucked by a bull), before cutting to Venom composited into the scene as if he were experiencing it himself. Whether he's catching a flying chicken midair or slamming face-first into a billboard, Venom reacts like a regular person dropped into the madness of TikTok.
This faux-stitch format mimics a popular technique where creators “insert” themselves into viral videos. By hijacking that language, we transformed Venom into a creator himself – a disruptive, unpredictable force in the feed. Originally launched as organic content, the videos quickly gained traction and were later supported with paid media to amplify reach.
The campaign was part of a broader effort to reintroduce Venom as a social-first character: weird, funny, and fully at home in the chaos of the internet.
