In Colombia, soccer sponsorships were overcrowded, with more than 150 brands competing for visibility and turning players into walking billboards. This saturation pushed Águila, the country’s most iconic beer, from first place in visibility to eighth.
Instead of trying to outspend rivals, Águila found one simple but powerful solution: the “Player of the Match” trophy. We redesigned it into a bold showcase of the brand’s eagle logo and customized 20 unique versions for all 20 league teams.
Every post-match photo — the most shared and visible moment of each game — now placed Águila back at the center, overshadowing more than 150 sponsors without additional investment.
