SXSW London 2025 marked the first-ever European edition of the world-famous South by Southwest festival. Over six days, East London’s Shoreditch district became a global stage for technology, film, culture, and above all, music, featuring more than 600 performances, 500 panels, and 114 screenings across 34 venues.
SXSW London helped to redefine what a citywide creative activation could be: a collaborative ecosystem of live performance, brand storytelling, and cultural exchange. Grassroots music venues such as Shoreditch Town Hall, 93 Feet East, Village Underground and Hoxton Hall welcomed a powerful lineup of artists pushing sound forward — from headliners like TEMS, Mabel, and NAO, to bold new voices curated by BBC Introducing, TRENCH, and The BRIT School. With Rolling Stone: Future of Music, Amex Unsigned and the British Music Embassy platforming fresh new voices on a global stage, every activation was designed to engage audiences and amplify SXSW London’s creative identity in a European context, with music not only featured in the performances but also serving as the unifying thread across many of the panels.
The result was a landmark cultural moment that established SXSW London as a new creative legacy for Europe, a festival where music, screen, and conference all anchored a broader story of discovery, creativity, and collaboration.
