To mark the 70th anniversary of Alpine, this film takes viewers on a cinematic journey through the brand’s racing legacy, blending live-action, visual effects and handcrafted 2D animation into a single, fluid narrative. Directed by Antoine Bardou-Jacquet, the project reimagines key moments from Alpine’s history through an evolving visual language inspired by comic art from different eras. Each chapter reflects its time period, allowing the aesthetic to shift alongside the cars, races and cultural context. What sets the film apart is its handcrafted approach at scale. After the live-action and 3D sequences were completed, every frame was redrawn by hand, layering expressive linework and stylised effects over the footage. This process brings a human, artisanal quality to the film, balancing historical accuracy with emotional storytelling. The result is a tribute that feels both timeless and contemporary — honouring Alpine’s past while celebrating the passion, precision and lightness that continue to define the brand today.
