Big Fucking Deal is a short film for Casey House that challenges how we think about HIV, stigma, and the people most affected by it. While HIV is medically manageable today, the social realities surrounding it, including stigma, mental health struggles, addiction, and housing insecurity, continue to make living with HIV incredibly difficult.
The film follows Jordan through moments of love, routine, escape, and loss, revealing the full humanity behind someone we might otherwise overlook. His story shows how easily support systems can erode, not because of who someone is, but because of the world around them.
By grounding the story in lived experience and emotional truth, Big Fucking Deal reframes stigma as the real crisis. It’s not a lecture or a warning. It’s an invitation to see the person before the label, and to recognize how close any of us might be to the same edge.
