In Mexico, dogs don't just wait for you at home according to ancient legend, they wait for you in the afterlife too. Because in Mexico, we are never alone, not in life nor in death. That's the idea behind ¿A ti, quién te espera? the first animated film by a beer brand, telling the story of Jorge, a shop owner, and Rogelio, his rescued dog, who waits in the afterlife to guide him across into Mictlan (the Aztec underworld). Made of 2,500 hand-painted frames inspired by Mexican muralism, every texture, stroke, and imperfection gave soul to the characters, launching as what it truly was: a movie reaching screens and spaces this tradition had never lived in before.
