NO REGERETS transformed TikTok’s comment section into the campaign itself.
Created for La Roche-Posay, the campaign was built on a simple cultural insight: while the Nordics are one of the world’s most tattooed regions, tattoo regret is a surprisingly common experience that people rarely talk about openly. At the same time, a platform insight revealed an opportunity. On TikTok, the most meaningful engagement often happens in the interactions around content, not just in the content itself.
Rather than creating a campaign designed for passive viewing, NO REGERETS was designed for participation. Twenty-three creators from across the Nordics shared their own tattoo regret stories and invited audiences to respond using TikTok’s photo-in-comment feature. By turning personal experiences into conversation starters, the campaign encouraged people to contribute their own stories and images.
What followed was an outpouring of community participation. Thousands of people shared photos and stories of tattoos they regretted, transforming the comment section into a living collection of user-generated content. Instead of treating comments as a space for engagement after publication, NO REGERETS made participation the creative idea from the very beginning.
The campaign generated more than 39 million views, over 5,000 community contributions and 39% of La Roche-Posay Nordic’s total annual engagement in just six weeks. The strong community response translated into measurable business results, demonstrating how creator-led participation can drive both cultural relevance and commercial impact.
