When LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight set out to build the biggest, most alive Gotham City ever created for a video game, we saw an opportunity to bring that world to life on social media long before players could set foot in it themselves. Our objective was to build genuine excitement among Batman and LEGO fans alike by making LEGO Gotham City feel like a real, living place that could organically drive buzz, engagement, and ultimately pre-orders ahead of launch.  So we asked a simple question: if LEGO Gotham City were real, what would be trending? That mindset shaped everything that followed, turning our social channels into a living extension of the city itself. Rather than simply advertise gameplay features, we focused on the citizens, gossip, crime, and chaos Gotham had to offer. Nearly every asset was purpose-built to emulate feed-native formats, from Gotham City news drops to in-universe Minifigure influencer content, giving fans plenty to recognize, decode, and share. The result was sustained buzz leading into launch, driving pre-order momentum that ultimately led to $1.2M in sales in the game's first week
