An adrenaline fueled collaboration between DoorDash, Sony Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation transformed a last-minute delivery into the most important play of the game. Created to celebrate the theatrical release of GOAT, Sony Pictures Animation's original sports comedy, the campaign invited audiences directly into the fast-paced world of Vineland, where the smallest competitors dream of making the biggest impact. Rather than simply promoting the film, DoorDash became part of its universe, expanding the story beyond the screen through a cinematic branded film built around one simple idea: every great team needs someone who delivers in the clutch. Moments before the biggest game of the season, Thorns superstar Jett Fillmore discovers she is missing one of her signature sneakers. With time running out, she turns to DoorDash. What follows is a high-speed, edge-of-your-seat race as a lightning-fast cheetah Dasher tears across Vineland, navigates the city's bustling streets and charges through a packed arena to deliver the missing shoe with only seconds remaining on the clock. The delivery becomes the championship-winning play. As the arena erupts, the Dasher is celebrated alongside the athletes, not as a bystander, but as the unexpected hero who made the impossible possible. By seamlessly weaving DoorDash into the heart of GOAT's story, the collaboration showcased the platform's speed, convenience and expanding retail Marketplace while introducing audiences to an exciting new animated world through entertainment-first storytelling. Fast, funny and packed with cinematic spectacle, the partnership blurred the line between film and branded entertainment, proving that the best entertainment partnerships do not just support the story. They become part of the world. RESULTS! It achieved broad reach: 20.5+ million online views It delivered the business message: Audiences understood that DoorDash delivers retail products such as shoes, not only food. It rewarded craft: Viewers actively celebrated the animation and used the work as evidence against generic AI-generated advertising. It felt native to the movie: The brand, product and delivery service created the story instead of interrupting it. It created fandom: Audiences adopted the DoorDash cheetah, generated their own content and asked for the character to return.
