To reverse the share decline that was driven by economic strain, Budweiser reasserted its place in culture by tapping into a connection that matters: the enduring friendship between fathers and their kids. Leveraging its partnership with the Toronto Blue Jays during their 50th anniversary, Budweiser launched a Father’s Day campaign centered on an emotional film featuring real fathers and sons playing catch at Rogers Centre. To turn emotion into action, a dedicated microsite invited fans to pledge to catch up with their "first Bud" for a chance to win tickets, backed by national OOH and social activations. The campaign drove over 27 million impressions and inspired 20,000 Canadians to take the pledge.
