In Mexico, thousands of children are being recruited through mobile video games to become part of organized crime. Video games they play on their cell phones are their preferred medium, accounting for 81.4% of gamers, making them more exposed. They become easy prey for drug cartels, known as "narcos," to approach them through gaming. Movistar Telecom is a socially committed brand in the digital environment, concerned with providing gamers with a safe space. That's why they created a video game film, an engaging content that connects with gaming entertainment and delivers a message based on real events. With a video game narrative, they aimed to warn children and young people that getting involved with drug cartels, or "narcos," has fatal consequences. No matter how attractive it may sound or look, it never ends well. At the same time, they aimed to raise awareness among parents to supervise their children more and, above all, not to let the "narco" play with their lives. Because the danger is not only in the streets anymore; it's in our rooms, on our mobile devices, and it has infiltrated the world of the most popular and widely used video games. For Movistar Telecom, this is not a game, and to counter and minimize the increasing impact of these bad practices, they decided to act with content that appeals to the tastes and interests of the target audience: video games.
