NEW YORK, USA // Dana May is an industry vet in agency production, known for her deep passion and leadership in driving creative excellence and integrated media strategy.
Dana was most recently Head of Integrated Production at Johannes Leonardo, where she built and led a team of fully integrated producers, business affairs managers and a nimble in-house production crew. She was a member of the management team that helped JL achieve the best years in its history - ranking #3 on Ad Age's A-list 2020, Adweek's 2019 Breakthrough Agency of the Year & #4 on Ad Age's A-list 2018 - with six major new business wins including: Volkswagen, Gap Inc., MassMutual, EA Sports, Amazon & Bleacher Report.
Before joining Johannes Leonardo, Dana led the production for the Verizon Wireless business at McCann, and prior to that she was Head of Production at CHI&Partners, now The&Partnership, where she helped take it from 5 people to about 150 across North America with new business wins including The Wall Street Journal, Diageo’s Bulleit Bourbon, Hotel Indigo, THIRTEEN, Samsung and TELUS (Canada).
Dana has also produced award-winning work for PUMA, Activision, Google, Unilever and Delta Air Lines at creative agencies, such as Droga5, Anomaly, BBH, Mother and Ogilvy.
Dana May graduated from the University of Cincinnati in the College-Conservatory of Music with a degree Electronic Media, and she lives in Manhattan with her husband and two young sons.
