NEW YORK, USA // Rae James is a multidisciplinary designer, art director, artist and visual storyteller. With over a decade of experience, she believes that design goes beyond aesthetics and is integral to the form and function of how we relate to the world, and each other.

Currently a Senior Product Designer at havas ekino, Rae creates visual and strategic solutions that make a tangible impact. A Brooklyn native with a West Indian background, her cultural lens informs her human-centered approach to digital experiences.

Throughout her career, Rae has helped to develop the digital and social landscapes of brands at agencies large and small across a wide-range of industries including fashion, beauty, lifestyle, spirits and healthcare. Her visual storytelling skills were harnessed at McGarryBowen on campaigns for Verizon, United Airlines, Chevron, and an Effie Award-winning effort for the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

In her free time, when not busy being a dedicated dog aunt, she enjoys challenging spin classes, wandering on solo international trips (pre-pandemic), seeking out hiking trails with great views, and weaving macrame plant-hangers as meditation.
