NEW YORK, USA // Dayo Harewood is a Vice President, Group Creative Director for Viacom Velocity, an in-house full service creative advertising and branded content studio, overseeing a team of makers who craft original content for advertisers. He leads the development and execution of co-branded content for multi-platform campaigns that span the ViacomCBS portfolio including MTV, Nickelodeon, CMT and PopTV networks as well as white label creative.
Dayo has concepted and directed branded spots, digital campaigns and social activations for leading advertisers such as BEATS by Dre, McDonald’s, Toyota, Reebok and Universal Pictures. Before transitioning into advertising, Dayo developed his craft helming music videos and promos featuring artists and athletes such as LeBron James, Pharrell, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and DJ Khaled to name a few, winning accolades for chart topping hits “A Milli” and “All I Do Is Win.”
A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of The Arts, Dayo’s short films and design collaborations have been featured on Showtime, The NYTimes and exhibited in numerous gallery installations.
