Freeform's Not Her First Rodeo is a docu-series about female rodeo competitors that follows the Elite Lady Bull Riders, five remarkable women battling in and out of the arena, risking life and limb for a shot at a championship buckle, eight seconds at a time. To promote the new docuseries, Freeform designed a custom piece of key art from scratch that utilized a powerful singular image of a woman riding a bull. The fame and spotlights of the sport are as big a part of the image as the ever-present danger, with adrenaline-fueled glory-seeking obvious in every part of the image. Risk of injuries aside, the pressure, self-doubt, and internal demons of a rider are just as much a part of the challenge for the cadre of women that are the focus of the docuseries. This entry's submission is based on the unique subject matter and is a fine art photo with a unique subject perspective that will attract curious viewers unfamiliar with the sport.
