This is a very peculiar Christmas story. 'Comandante' is a charismatic old dog who has lived in a kennel for many years. One day, “Cartón”,, a fearful greyhound, arrives at the centre, sad and crestfallen. Seeing his new companion so depressed, Comandante tries to cheer him up in every way: he shares his food, does pirouettes and throws him a ball. Nothing seems to work, until one day Cartón finally gives him the ball back as a sign that he is starting to come out of his depression. At that very moment, a family arrives at the centre wanting to adopt Comandante. After many years of waiting, he will finally be able to go home. However, aware that his departure would leave Cartón alone, Comandante pretends to limp, hoping that the family will choose another dog without a 'handicap'. It is a gesture of loyalty that is typical of both animals and Atleti fans. The story ends with the two protagonists together, keeping each other company.
