The Boston Bruins’ “Best Snow Day Ever” live animated data visualization, as part of the NHL Hockeyverse’s pilot program, was developed to feature innovative applications of NHL technology and deliver the game of hockey in an engaging, creative way to attract new audiences and build upon the team’s goal of continuing to foster a love of the game among the next generation of fans. The live Bruins-Panthers game was transformed in real-time into animation and while STEM math and science lessons were woven throughout the program.
