Buzzcodes: an epic cinematic scavenger hunt that rewarded pop culture fans for finding Volkswagens in 70 years of film and TV. First, we scanned decades of entertainment to find the licence plate numbers on any VW that showed up on screen. These numbers became promo codes that unlocked exclusive VW prizes. To win, fans simply had to post the code along with where they found it. Now, when fans were watching movies and shows, they were actually watching for Volkswagen vehicles.
