In Brazil, football is everywhere—on screens, in stadiums, and in everyday life. Jerseys are worn, watched, and analyzed by millions.
At the same time, melanoma often goes undetected because it appears in places people don’t see.
To connect these realities, Instituto Melanoma Brasil partnered with Botafogo to transform the football jersey into an unexpected out-of-home medium.
Instead of a sponsor logo, a tiny mole-like mark appeared on the back of every jersey. Match after match, it was visible in stadiums, broadcasts, and public imagery—yet no one noticed.
Over time, the mark subtly grew, reflecting how melanoma develops.
Then came the reveal: a press conference exposing what had been hiding in plain sight. In that moment, a season of football became a powerful reminder of what people fail to see.
By turning players into moving media and stadiums into a national stage, the campaign didn’t just use out-of-home—it redefined it.
