For years, the image of breast cancer has been shaped by symbols that often feel distant from the lived reality of patients. This work begins with a simple observation: after mastectomy, what remains is a line—one shaped by surgery, recovery, and the effort to keep moving forward. That line closely resembles the Nike Swoosh, a symbol long associated with movement and progress. The Re-Born Swoosh reframes this connection, turning the scar into a symbol of continuation rather than loss. By aligning the meaning of the Swoosh with the lived experience of breast cancer patients, the campaign highlights their will to keep moving forward in everyday life. Extending beyond communication, the project introduces adaptive apparel, supports recovery through the Nike Training App, and contributes to related organizations. By transforming a personal trace into a shared symbol, the campaign invites a new way of seeing—one that recognizes strength, continuity, and the reality of moving forward.
