To celebrate the Toronto Blue Jays playoff run, Rogers Communications transformed baseball’s dugout phone into a direct line between fans and the team.
Canadians across the country were invited to call or text the dugout through a nationally promoted phone number appearing across TV, radio, OOH, social and live activations.
The idea turned a piece of baseball infrastructure that had existed for nearly 90 years into a platform for national participation. Messages poured in from every province and territory, while pop-up dugout phone installations extended the experience into the real world.
By turning its network into a direct emotional connection between fans and players, Rogers redefined what sports participation could look like for a geographically dispersed nation.
