Brand Identity
In 2018, South Korea’s win over Germany helped Mexico advance in the World Cup and sparked an unexpected friendship between both countries. For their 2026 reunion as opponents, Nike created "Rivales hoy. Hermanos siempre", a visual identity inspired by the bond that had grown between them. A Mexican jaguar and a Korean tiger were reimagined through traditional art and brought together in a yin-yang inspired emblem. Their national colors, typography and graphic codes were combined into one visual system that lived across apparel, content, environments and match-day communication. The identity also came to life in "El Karaoke de los Dolidos" (The Heartbreak Karaoke) , a Korean karaoke watch party filled with Mexican heartbreak songs. A shared identity for two countries meeting again from opposite sides of the pitch.
