Los Angeles is the one of the most crowded sports markets on Earth, leaving over a dozen professional and collegiate teams competing for the attention of the city’s fans. With high expectations for the 2026 season, The LA Rams saw the 2026 NFL Draft as an opportunity to earn the devotion of their city’s fans before the team ever took the field by giving them a love letter to the city they call home.
That letter came in the form of a film called Thursday, a sequel to LA's cult classic hangout film, Friday, which was shot right down the street from the Rams home field. Friday showed an entire generation what the LA neighborhood was really like in 1995, and Thursday did the same for a new generation. The film was shot in the same neighborhood, on the same porch, recreating iconic moments from the beloved original with a cast that represented the city today. Thursday starred the sons of the original cast, O'Shea Jackson Jr. and Destin Tucker, playing the sons of their fathers’ Friday characters, alongside some of LA’s most loved Rams fans, like Terry Crews, rapper YG, local radio host Big Boy, and Rams players like Kevin Dotson, Jared Verse, and Byron Young. Thursday was more than just an ad. It was an ode to a city and the people in it that proved only one team sees LA like Angelenos do.
