On Halloween 2024, Fanta gave consumers a scary good surprise to sell its new, limited-edition Beetlejuice flavor on delivery apps for the release of the beloved film sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
The insight was a gift from Heaven (or, rather, the Afterlife), because it was there all along, ever since the original film: Ordering Fanta via delivery can be as easy as invoking Beetlejuice, by just saying their wish three times.
Our idea became the biggest mass possession ever. People invoked Beetlejuice into their Alexas by saying "Wanta Fanta" three times and starting a frightening audio experience full of screams, disturbing noises in an abandoned house, and even demonic figures speaking backwards.
We compensated these brave souls for their endurance, in the end giving them a coupon worth 30 reais to buy the drink online.
The possessed Alexa became the talk of the town on TikTok and Instagram, with influencers organically sharing their own frightful reactions and comments.
In just two weeks, we achieved double our projected sales, with an 8% increase over the previous month, 50,000 unique visitors, 400,000 people using the skill on Alexa, and 4 million scares given!
Now that's a jump scare we can all get behind.
