The Last Prisoner Project set out to change that, reframing pardons as moral imperatives rather than political risks. The solution: the “Pen to Right History”—a $4.50 pen backed by 20,000 letters and the voices of families pleading for justice—giving leaders the courage to act. The result: the largest cannabis pardon in U.S. state history, 175,000 convictions erased, and cannabis justice reframed in America’s national conversation.
