ACKO’s “Tailor Test” reimagined a clinical health metric — waist-to-hip ratio — as a grassroots diagnostic tool, using body measurements to trigger early heart risk alerts.
Instead of high-tech sensors or app-based tracking, the campaign tapped into an untapped dataset hiding in plain sight: tailor-held body measurements, spanning geographies, income groups, and generations.
Using WHO-approved waist-to-hip charts, tailors identified at-risk individuals before symptoms showed. They also compared current measurements to generational records, flagging worsening patterns.
ACKO turned a clinical risk metric into a street-level intervention ,with tailors as frontline health messengers, reaching people no campaign or doctor could.
