The Swedish Prescription turned Sweden into the world’s first country available on prescription.
Developed in collaboration with medical experts, the campaign reframed travel as a form of preventive wellbeing. Everyday Swedish lifestyle activities—such as time in nature, sauna, fika (a Swedish daily coffee ritual focusing on connection), calm cultural experiences, silence and restorative sleep—were structured into a formal, downloadable prescription.
Launched through a humorous hero film, a digital prescription platform and global PR, the campaign balanced scientific credibility with dry Swedish humour. Rather than promoting destinations, it positioned Sweden itself as a treatment for stress and mental overload.
The result was a globally shared idea that transformed how Sweden is perceived: from a travel destination into a place defined by balance, recovery and wellbeing.
