Theatrical: Original Content

Entries in this medium include featurettes, documentaries, behind-the-scenes promos, audio executions and other original programming created to promote a studio or film release.

Entry Type

  • Theatrical - This refers to new movie titles released in theaters, at a film festival, or theater-at-home, and/or any film that is Academy Award eligible. This also refers to any entries promoting a movie studio.


Categories

  • Behind the Scenes – Entries in this category are short or long form pieces covering one or more aspects of the film creation process and/or additional footage.
  • Creative Content – Entries in this category are for short or long form pieces that provide original additional content to a title for the purpose of entertainment. This can include stunts and viral videos.
  • Fan Driven – Entries in this category are for marketing and advertising promotions that enlist fans to create content or interact with an entertainment property in a new way.
  • Other – An entry in this category is for work that is not defined by any of the available categories. 

 

Entry Fees

Mar 3rd - May 14th: $325

May 15th - July 16th: $375

July 17th - Aug 20th: $425

Campaigns
This medium type is eligible for campaign entries.

  • Campaigns consist of 2 or more pieces in the same medium and category.
  • Each piece within a campaign requires an individual entry form to be completed (including individual uploaded media and payment).

This medium type is eligible for mixed campaign entries.

  • Mixed Campaigns consist of 2 or more pieces in the same medium, but different categories.
  • Each piece within a campaign requires an individual entry form to be completed (including individual uploaded media and payment).

For judging purposes, please submit your entry in English.  Non-English entries must be dubbed in English.  In addition, you must also provide an English translation in the “English-Language Translation” box on the entry form.
